Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner course, Brighton 2018
The course is highly practical and theoretical in depth on practitioner level in Traditional Thai yoga massage, which will be recognised by professional association. On completion students will be confident to give a full body treatment and will be able to assist clients with a specific condition. Smaller classes (up to 10 people) ensure more in depths attention is given to each individual member of the group.

- Yoga teachers, physiotherapists, osteopaths etc. to complement the existing skill
- Anyone wishing to use Thai yoga on family, friends to relax, de -stress, re -balance or for general well being
- Those who are interested in exploring their creativity through massage and touch
This is an intensive hands on 72 hours course spread over 4 months. After 12 lessons you will need to complete 30 case studies within added 6 months to be able to enter final practical and theoretical assessment.
Learning consists of lecture, watching demonstration followed by supervised practise. Students will be giving and receiving Thai massage sequences on each lesson. Elements of Meditation, yoga, mindful touch and body awareness are an important aspect during training.
Students will get plenty of attention as groups are small up to 10 students max. Vipassana meditation and yoga exercises will be incorporated within the course.
By the end of the course, all students will need to have Anatomy and Physiology training and hold a recognised certificate in order to get insurance to practise. If you are already a therapist please check if your current insurer will add Thai yoga massage to your list of therapies.
History of Thai massage. Feet sequence. Massaging the feet and loosening up exercises, pressure points and ankle stretches.Leg lines. Palming and thumbing the energy lines on the legs. Blood stop. Supervised practice.
Single Leg Stretches. Applying several yoga based stretches on one leg at a time. Supervised practice.
Double Leg Stretches. Applying several yoga-based exercises on both legs together. Supervised practice.
Stomach, Chest and Arms. Massaging these parts of the body, including points on the abdomen and chest, and a blood stop to the arms. Supervised practice.
Side Position. Working the 3rd outside energy line on both legs in side position, stretches and two spinal twists applied in side position. Supervised practice.
Back of Body. Walking on the feet, energy lines of the back, more leg stretches and cobra stretches. Supervised practice.
Sitting Position. Massaging the shoulders and neck in the sitting position, including many shoulder and neck stretches and points on the neck plus scalp massage. Supervised practice.
Face. Free style face massage incorporating therapeutic points to relieve headache and other conditions. Therapeutics in Thai yoga massage, treating specific conditions (headache, knee pain and lower back pain). 10 Sen Lines. Supervised practice.
Revision. Every technique will be looked at again in more details. Full body treatment will be tailored in general.Time to summarise this Ancient art
Assessment Day. An opportunity to practice and receive a whole massage under supervision. Following the massage, the student will receive detailed feedback from the course tutor with advice, cautions and recommendations for future practice

The course will cost £995 per person, including exam fee. A £250 deposit is required to secure a place.There is also an option to pay in instalments. £250 £250 and £245.

There is an early bird discount to £895 if booked by the end of May and balance paid prior the beginning of the course.
